Patrick Silvestre, a popular actor in San Francisco’s local theater scene, is currently wrapping the lead role the independent short film, “Prinsesa” by RDM Studios.
Patrick is well-known to followers of “Bindlestiff Studio,” the Filipino-American performing arts co-op in San Francisco, having participated in their Stories High series for many, as well as recently providing a crowd-pleasing performance in the lead tole of “A Kind Of Sad Love Story” (written by Jeffrey Lo).
“Prinsesa” is a short film about Rey, a father who is confused by his young son’s daydreams of becoming a princess. Inspired by the Singkil traditional dance of the Philippines, the character is being pushed by the macho posturings of his longtime buddies, and the awkward but sincere questions of his 6-year-old boy.
